This presentation will look at how other freelance services (lawyers, accountants, etc.) are procured in the world and whether or not interpreters are leading or lagging in responding to market forces. The speaker’s company, Cadence, is a matchmaking platform which uses a combination of technology plus the human touch to help interpreters and clients find each other.

Matt Conger is the CEO of Cadence, a matchmaking platform for interpreters. We empower our users to talk business, anywhere. Formerly branded as SeekPanda.

Previously, Matt spent seven years in the energy industry spanning investing, financial modeling, and strategic planning as venture capitalist at Hudson Clean Energy Partners. Prior to Hudson, Matt was a management consultant at Bain & Company in New York City.

He has an undergraduate degree in business from the Wharton School and a graduate degree in engineering from Stanford. He is based in Beijing.
