JACI Award for Professional Excellence 2018 – Dr. Daniel Gile

The JACI Award for Professional Excellence was established in 2018 to recognize outstanding individuals and/or organizations that made a significant contribution to promote the interpreting profession and industry.

The inaugural award was presented to Dr. Daniel Gile (ESIT) for “developing a theoretical model to understand the performance mechanism of interpreting that significantly furthered interpreting education and research worldwide.”
